Telecentric illumination

For over 40 years Sill Optics has been producing telecentric lenses, first in the form of profile projection lenses and since 1989 in the current form for digital cameras.

For ease of choice over 100 telecentric lenses have been combined into series. These series have the same working distance, are of similar length and the lenses are readily interchangeable. All these series lenses are object side telecentric and within groups the lenses are sorted by magnification.

Noted too are the minimum pixel size for each series, valid for B/W-cameras and calculated for 586 nm. With colour cameras the values change accordingly.

Here you can find the telecentric background illuminations suitable for our telecentric lenses. Various diameters and wavelengths are available. Especially high-precision measurements demand telecentric illumination. This avoids reflections at the edges of objects and increases the accuracy of measurement.

Our condensers, depending on their LED-unit, are divided into three series. Whereas the S6IRIxxxx-line with standard LEDs is designed for low illuminance with constant current, the high-power LEDs offer higher output power and are flashable.
