1.5 MICRON ASE BROADBAND SOURCES

ASE SOURCES

C, L and C & L Band ASE Broadband Source

A range of modular broadband sources with extremely low output ripple and high stability.

Available in both C and L band for applications where a stable light source is needed as in optical sensing and spectroscopy.

C Band

The C-band broadband light source is an erbium-doped fibre optic device pumped by telecom-graded laser diode. The operating wavelength range of this product is 1530 nm to 1565 nm and an output power level is up to 500 mW.

C Band, L Band and C&L Band

The L-band ASE source is an erbium-doped fibre optic device pumped by telecom-graded laser diode. The operating wavelength range of this product is 1570 nm to 1610 nm and an output power level is up to 400 mW.

Wide-dynamic-range characterization of components such as AWGs and FBGs
Alternative to multiple DFB lasers and multiplexer in telecommunications test sets
Accurate gain-spectrum measurement of EDFAs with spectral-hole burning included
Local networking using spectral slicing or optical code-division multiplexing
