Characterisation of material during the development process

Our Materials Sciences Laboratory is an internal service provider and as such a decisive instance in our chain of innovation. Internally, the department supports the development of the laser processes and is hence an important element for the quality assurance during the process. Under the aspect of optimisation of material features, it is an important institution for evaluating and qualifying the laser material process. This department and the different branches of ARGES GmbH are an ideal combination – short paths and fast and precise decision-making is guaranteed.

Our strong and closed-knit network of industrial partners and a long-term cooperation with the Materials Sciences laboratory of the “University of Applied Sciences” in Amberg guarantees best possible resources. In cooperation with our external partners we have access to diverse testing methods and offer versatile services.

Individual and special engineering tasks, e.g. development of customized material testing methods or the creation of an expertise are also part of our service portfolio.

Problems in the field of Material Sciences are responded to accurately and rapidly by our engineers and the given answers correspond to the product development and are accompanied by an optimization of the product and the material features respectively. The customers receive the results by means of a detailed test report and a high-quality interpretation on the results including parameter studies. This helps to stick to quality standards and to avoid mechanical, thermal and tribological as well as corrosion-chemical influences and to get detailed information on the features of the material.

In retrospective, the material analysis (e.g. failure analysis) is also a contribution to prevention and analysis of cause and with regard to the operation behaviour of materials conclusions can be drawn that form the basis for finding according corrective measures.

Our entire testing methods guarantee project processing that conforms to national and international standards.
