STRUCTURING

Laser structuring is a process where surfaces are marked with a specific structure, usually only a few millimeters in size. Via according beam deflection systems and predominantly via pulsed lasers the structures can be chosen individually. However, they often have a special task to fulfil, e.g. the modifying of reflectivity or the influencing of friction features. The insertion of energy is adapted to the result accordingly and is normally just below the vaporization threshold value of the material.
